Overview

The MARCONI project aims to take radio experiences to the next level by enabling fully interactive and personalised radio services that seamlessly integrate traditional broadcasting with digital and social media. To achieve this, MARCONI focuses on two key objectives: enabling listeners to interact with live radio through their preferred communication channels, and providing radio professionals with a unified view of audience interactions supported by automated engagement services.

Artificial Intelligence plays a central role in MARCONI by automating the processing of both content and user interactions. The inclusion of a radio editorial solutions provider in the consortium ensures smooth integration of the platform into real-world broadcasting workflows. In close collaboration with participating broadcasters, the project conducts large-scale pilot deployments with active listener communities, validating the solutions in real operational settings and strengthening their market readiness.

MARCONI brings together a multidisciplinary consortium comprising radio broadcasters, industry technology providers, and academic partners. This combination of expertise ensures that the developed solutions respond to real user needs while remaining technically robust and fully compatible with existing radio production and editorial environments, supporting the long-term adoption and impact of the platform.
