Overview

Data Conversations aims to enhance the societal and economic impact of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) sector by addressing key challenges in impact design, data literacy, digitalisation, and AI adoption. The project brings together cultural organisations, universities, and sector-wide networks to:

  • Develop DIDACT. A digital, AI-enhanced impact design and assessment tool, building on successful frameworks like the MeMind Impact Canvas, Museums of Impact self-evaluation, and the Europeana Impact Playbook.
  • Create Info-Experiences. Innovative, artistic methods for creative data collection to better understand and engage audiences.
  • Host Artistic Residencies. Training at least ten artists and creative professionals to co-develop new audience-centric data collection methods.

Data Conversations is a collaborative initiative that empowers the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) sector to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. We bring together cultural organisations, universities, creative professionals, and sector networks across Europe to transform how impact, data, and technology are integrated into cultural practice.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between creativity and digital innovation. Through tools like DIDACT—our AI-powered impact design platform—and through creative data collection methods, artistic residencies, and tailored training, we equip cultural professionals with the skills and insights they need to drive meaningful change.

We believe that by making data more accessible, creative, and human-centered, CCIs can not only better engage audiences and enhance sustainability, but also lead the way in the responsible use of AI and digital technologies.

IN2 leads the activities on the development of the DIDACT tool, the project's impact design platform and the activities on sustainability.

  • Fondazione Sistema Toscana, Italy (Coordinator)
  • University of Firenze, Italy
