IN2 at the Invisible Festival 2026

25–27 March 2026
The Royal Library of Belgium (KBR), Brussels

Showcasing innovation in digital cultural heritage

IN2 will be taking part in Invisible Festival 2026, an international event dedicated to augmented art, artificial intelligence and new experiences of memory.

Throughout the event, we will have a stand showcasing a portfolio of European projects contributing to the digital transformation of cultural heritage. These include UNICHE, XRculture, 3DBigDataSpace and 3D-4CH. These projects address various aspects of data, storytelling, and immersive technologies within the sector. Together, these initiatives reflect the ongoing efforts to make heritage more accessible, interoperable and engaging.

Synthetic Pasts

As part of the programme, we will contribute to the Synthetic Pasts panel, which will explore how emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, are reshaping the ways in which we engage with the past. The discussion will address the opportunities and challenges of using digital tools to reconstruct, interpret, and communicate heritage. Discussion topics will include new forms of storytelling and memory-making enabled by AI, the role of digital technologies in reviving and reinterpreting historical content, and the ethical, cultural and political implications of synthetic or reconstructed pasts.

Engaging with the community

The Invisible Festival brings together researchers, cultural institutions, technology providers and creative practitioners working in the fields of digital heritage and immersive technologies. IN2’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to collaboration within this ecosystem. During the event, visitors are invited to connect with our team to learn more about our current projects and find out how AI and XR technologies are being used in real-world cultural heritage contexts.
