Presenting the SUN integrated platform at EuroXR 2025
Representatives from IN2, Engineering, Hololight and Kpeople presented to the audience some details of the SUN integrated platform and demonstrated two of the project pilots. These sparked lively discussion around how SUN’s Omnibridge middleware and tokenized asset management can accelerate deployment of XR in real settings.
The EuroXR conference, organised annually by the European Association for eXtended Reality (EuroXR) and this year co-hosted with the ZHAW School of Management and Law, is one of Europe’s key gatherings for XR. It brings together experts from academia and industry to exchange knowledge on AR, VR, and MR technologies and applications. Serving as a vital forum, it highlights the latest scientific and industrial advances, showcases pioneering European projects, and sparks dialogue on human factors, ethics, and societal impact. By bridging research and practice, EuroXR continues to shape the future of immersive technologies.
IN2’s participation in the event was motivated by our work in SUN (Social and hUman ceNtered XR), a research and innovation project funded under the competitive Horizon Europe programme. SUN develops a secure and human-centered XR platform, combining AI, hyper-realistic avatars, 3D acquisition, and haptic devices into an integrated solution. At EuroXR, the team showcased how this platform enables real-world applications in rehabilitation, workplace safety, and accessibility.”
The conference was also an opportunity to network with key stakeholders and get to know the EuroXR community. At IN2 we are eager to actively participate in such European initiatives, as demonstrated by our role as Steering Board member of the NEM (New European Media) initiative. And speaking of NEM, you can meet us in October at the upcoming NEM Summit 2025 in Berlin. More information here: https://nem-initiative.org/nem-summit-2025/
